Part 1

Apparently, Kip had planned out the entire day, but for me, Saturday January 29th started as any average Saturday usually does:

First, after a restless night's sleep in an old drafty house, I drove myself over to Kip's apartment so we could get ready for one of the day's adventures: Racquetball!

This has become one of my favorite games. Its definitely numbered in the top 5 along with Cut the Rope, Liverpool Rummy, Castle Crashers, and Soccer. No, I'm really not good at any of these. Thanks.

After gettting slaughtered in racquetball, it was time for Ward Choir at the Institute building.

So, I am the choir director at church. And for those of you who think its just waving your arms, think again! There is a lot of planning and practicing and pondering that goes into being a conductor in general, but when you're conducting arrangements of hymns that are supposed to evoke the Spirit? Needless to say, of all the preparation I do, I could still use more. Lucky for me, Kip is our pianist, so he's there every step of the way to keep me from going crazy. Or griping at the tenors. Or Both.

After choir, it's On to the Stake Center!

Yes, I spelled "stake" correctly. No, it is not a fabulous restaurant. Nor is it a place to buy anti-vampire equipment. (Mainly because Vampires are fake.)

Because our Stake Center is so awesome, we have a Temple right behind it! So, to destress a bit after choir, Kip suggested we walk around the Temple grounds for a bit before he finishes up his clerk stuff. So, we walked around, said "hi" to a few friends in the parking lot, and Kip finished up his clerk stuff.

Then Kip asks, "Are you hungry?"

Silly, silly boy. Of course I am hungry! I am always hungry. Always. Unless I'm full because I just ate.

"Do you want Mexican food, or Italian?"

Um. It doesn't matter to me. I'm really just hungry.

"Oh, ok. Mexican it is!"

So, Kip and I hop into his hot, red Toyota Corolla, and sped off in the opposite direction of the sunset!

To Be Continued...
