Part 3

Our next adventure happened to be at the Legacy Play Village!! (Which, is one of my favorite places because its pretty much a giant wooden playground for big kids.) Technically, the place was closed because it was after sunset, but that didn't stop us--or the parkour-ers, or the large family with lots of kids running around playing tag!

We stopped at first by this one wall, but as soon as we leaned on it, two kids rushed past us and the wall began to creak in an eerie "I'm gonna break if you touch me" sort of way. So, we moved a few feet down to a little secluded corner.

It was perfect. :)

There was a minimum of traffic, it was farther from the lamppost so we could actually see the stars, we could see the rest of the park bathed in moon- and starlight, and clear across the way, we could see the Temple all lit up and beautiful. Kip and I stayed there and chatted for a while. We talked about everything and nothing all at once.  Little kids rushed past us from time to time, but eventually, the noise died away as the people around us began to leave.

Suddenly, "There's a bunny!!" Kip said.

I looked behind me and there he was, a little brown bunny cute as can be! I could just barely see his cute little ears peeking out from between the fence that separated him from the park. I was so excited about this little rabbit, that I made up his very own little jingle! It went something like this:

♪ Liiiiitle biiity! Biiity bunny! Baaaaaby rabbit! Ooooh, he's cuuuute and FUZZEH!! Biiiiitty BUNNEH!! :) ♪

When I turned back around, there as Kip giggling at my silliness. He smiled, pulled me close, and kissed me as we laughed together. We chatted more, talking about how the constellations had changed positions, how much we love each other, and probably dinosaurs.

Everything was quiet now. Kip and I were the only two people that existed and the playground was our castle!

"Hey there's two bunnies!!"

I turned, excited!

No, silly! Those are just dirt clods!

"No, really! There's one there, and one there" He argued, pointing.

I squinted. Was it really that dark now?

Ok, there's one bunny. Yeah, babe, that one's definitely just a dirt clod.

I turned back around, and there was Kip smiling again. I love his smile, did I mention that? He's terribly handsome and quite irresistible when he smiles. He pulled me close again and we kissed.

"Keep your eyes closed."

Huh? I opened my eyes. Why? What are you doing?

"No, silly, Keep your eyes closed!"

So he pulled me into another kiss to persuade me to keep them shut. Naturally, I was persuaded! I felt him pull away, but I waved my arms in front of me with my eyes closed. As if I could see anything with my hands.

Where are you? Where did you go?

"I'm here. Open your eyes."

I did. There in front of me was my very best friend down on one knee holding a small box open to reveal the beautiful ring inside. My hands covered my face and mouth in sock. What?!

"Samantha Caroline Sarlls, will you marry me, in the Temple, for time and all eternity, and go on adventures with me?"

Yes!! A hundred million times over, YES!

He stood, slid the ring onto my finger, and pulled me close. We, my husband-to-be and I,  beamed and giggled as we walked back to the car hand-in-hand and totally geeking-out about each other!

On to the next Adventure! :)
